1. after selecting one object and using the trans/rotate/scale feature over the keys w, e or r: selecting objects in the views does not work anymore, I still can selected by using the object listwqqwwerrwe. trying to select in the ortho views crashes the app
2. trying to move the camera by itself crashes the app
3. Material List - load selected Mxm to editor option does not work but it appears in the editor when it is opened by clicking on it. I guess the idea was to launch the editor with the material by this option ?
4. double clicking materials in the material list should launch the editor with the material or ?
5. trying to load the material list in one of the 3d view does not work, looks like not all modules can be viewed in all windows, only the ones possible to load should appear
6. rendering in the views does not work and crashes the app
7. previewing in the views crashes the app mostly....sometimes works
8. when applying an emitter to an object it does not render like that....stays dark....turning a sky on crashes the app after hitting the preview
9. rendering does not work - hitting the rendering button starts mxcl correctly but the image stays black while progressing
10. the object import modules for obj and 3ds mostly crashing the app and once an object is loaded the polygons look very corrupted in the viewports ....could be an open gl issue ?
11. stl import crashes (why is there a stl import at all ? great format for rapid prototyping but not for rendering or ? step import would be really cool and open doors to all professional cad tools)
with all these issues there is no way for me to work with maxwell anymore and we will surely not install the RC1 on all the computers in the office after waiting so badly for this release. if the GUI needs more time- take it its definetly worth it, but please provide the proper plugins (maya, solid works etc.) for the new core !!! thats all everybody needs so far, or ?-- please put the ressources there first !!! the GUI is a plus for me.
I like the GUI by itself, feels a bit like modo. Right now it gots too many windows in general, but I am sure this will be further developed for a nice workflow soon. Check ProE Wildfire for example as a very complex application with a nice and clean interface or parts of maya.
