The G & it's tickbox appeared after I loaded a PNG 24 image. I had not seen it before as I don't usually use PNGs, but there's no reference to it in the Manual, that I can find.
There's no alpha channel in the png file I used, which is all I can think that it might be referenced to.


No noticeable difference in the material preview window, if it's ticked on or off.

Any ideas?

That "G" checkbox is a hidden control that it is not supposed to be shown in any case. It seems that loading some type of textures at certain resolution shows it again. It does nothing, but this is a UI bug anyway. Thanks ;)

All the same, ... I still want one. I really think I need to have this 'G box'. :P
