ADS confirmed that the plug-in works upward though, but never downward. It works with 6.0 (although texture and material setting is troublesome compared to 5.5), so it should basically work with 6.1 as well.

Hi,

We are trying to reproduce your issues but we can't, the plugin works fine here in 6.1. The new v6.1 plugin is almost ready and we target to release it when FormZ 6.1 is released. (very soon)

Kind regards,

Juan

Just installed 6.1.0.1 and the Maxwell palette is not showing up. The options are not available in Attributes either. The plug-in doesn't load. I still have 6.0 installed and it works there. Could that be the issue? Do I need to un-install the 6.0 version?

Tim, maxwell pallette works just fine here with Fz 6.1.0. I also have version 6.0.4 running with Maxwell just fine as well on the same computer so there must be some other problem with your maxwell installation. Did you check that maxwell Maxwell Atributes and Maxwell Menu are checked in the FormZ Extensions manager?

What OS are you running?

If you are on Mac OS X and you hardware is intel based, then you will need to run formZ under Rosetta - the current Maxwell plugin does not run natively on Intel.

To do this you select the formZ icon select File>Get Info then check the box labeled "Open using Rosetta"

I am running 10.4.8 on a Intel Dual 2.6. The plugin runs fine in 6.0.4 on the Intel machine, just doesn't show up at all in 6.1.

Tim,

formZ 6.0.4 is not a Universal Binary, so it runs under Rosetta on an Intal machine and the Maxwell plugin also runs under Rosetta without a problem.

formZ 6.1 is a Universal Binary, by default it will run natively on your Intel Mac. When running native on Intel 6.1 won't load the PPC plugin.

The work-around is to force 6.1 to run under Rosetta, then it loads the plugin just fine. At least that's the way it worked for me.

That worked. Thanks.
