Hi Juan,

Another bug....

Assign a metal to an object using the Query tool in FormZ and it renders pure black in MXCL. Has MaxwellZ had any testing prior to release?

Cheers,

Nik

ps. In the metal presets "COOPER" should be spelt "COPPER".

Hello Nik,

As people is talking in the main forum, the IOR model that Maxwell uses has been redesigned to make it more realistic. so you could get undesired results using old materials. In fact they will be completely removed from the plugins in the future. I encourage you to use the new mxm materials, we have developed a material wizard to let you make old materials very easy. Also with the installation package we include .ior files that you can load in teh material editor to get ultrarealistic metals.

Regards,

Juan

How do we use the new materials? Must we use studio.
Using custom does not work in the plugin.
