OK,
Now I'm completely confused. I previously posted about MXCL failing to start when initiating a render from the FZ plugin... I suspected it was bad geometry or mapping. I never figured it out.

Today I got the latest FZ build installed...
I trashed my previous Maxwell install...
I trashed all the Maxwell plist files I could find...
I emtied the trash...
I reinstalled the latest Maxwell application (1.1 UB)...
I reinstalled the latest Maxwell FZ Plugin...
I placed the license.dat file in the MXCL "package" as necessary (in "contents"->"MACOS")
I started Studio and pointed it to my license file... (can this file be located anywhere?)

It still fails to start.

The MXS file is generated perfectly, as are all the supporting .png textures (that came from FZ procedurals)

If I double click the MXS file, MXCL starts and renders beautifully with no errors in the console.

What am I missing?

Hi medmonds,

Could you post some images of the settings you have selected in formz, and what configuration does your computer has. We cannot reproduce it here.

Thanks

My computer is a 2.16 Ghz Core Duo MBP with 2 gigs of ram. I cant post images at the moment, but my computer exhibits the problem with the most basic new file in FormZ using the default maxwell settings.

Another weird thing I noticed last night is that if I change the Maxwell plug-in settings to try to launch Studio instead of MXCL, it still doesn't work.

Even though I'm using a fresh install of FZ, does this mean perhaps there's something wrong on that side?

Problem solved...
I forgot to delete my formZ preferences... of which I had several from past versions of FZ installed.
