i totally agree this is a must if animation is going to be expressed by maxwell .. . .
imagine if nothing but the camera moves, there are no calculations that must be redone
i would glady wait for 8 days to calculate the lighting if i could then render my scene in a few seconds from any perspective. 1000s of frames are then possible to do in a week without a major farm.
further if things are tagged as animating and non-animating, only calculations that need to be done are on the animated objects, and things in a proximity around them. if a light is animated, well you would be S.O.L., but who moves a light in a fly-through . . . .
but my guess is that maxwell is a view dependent voxelizer so . . . . . . .
can we have it anyway? victor , oscar , anyone?
i regret that i have but one proc to give for my maxwell
