i think that now with Stereo VR becomes mainstream, facebook bought Oculus, DIY Smartphone VR all over the web, very near future of product presentation, entertainment, learning ...

it’d be great if maxwell render would provide a stereoscopic spherical lens





So visual producers can hook up to this cool trend and shine and convince with the help of this technology that has just become adult right now. So rendering spherical stereoscopic in different 3D formats such as separate spherical pictures for left right, ready to generate movies for Oculus Player / and Unity-3D.

Stereo pano wont be much fun, the point of oculus is taht you can MOVE your head not just rotate it! IMO this idea sux balls.

i made a test on my mobile phone with stitching two spherical left & right rendered images accordingly and loaded it into a Unity3D scene.
Watching it is really fun and gives the 3D effekt when watching around.
Moving can also be realized when setting up the VR with multiple position streams, but haven't done that yet.
