Well, you can just minimize the render window instead of closing it, then the menu will not close.

no, not really. it happens with any other renderer when you close the window.

Well, fox eample MR or VRay parameter boxes remember their state, so I dont think its so difficut to implement, and yup, its oly plugin related.
