With ArchiCAD I can create a file .pla (archived plan) whith inside the texture and the object than I have used in my project.
I can do the same thing with Artlantis R: save as archive...

I think it was a greath thing if maxwell have similar option: a routine than collect and organize in subdirectory all the external linked files.

Hello Pietro and thanks for having such a great website for all of us.

As you know i love Artlantis and Archicad, i love sketchup too. But my 2 new babies are MaxwellRender and Hexagon. I think that i'm more then equipped with the best tools to express my creative side.

One thing i love about Artlantis is the "reference file", this function is essential in every software, but i do not feel Maxwell is putting this together in its final release. As Maxwellrender is going to be directly link to the plugin of your modeler, the reference file must be supported by this software and maybe not maxwell, i dont know, i do not have clear if MaxwellRender will import .obj, .3ds files.

I'm using C4D just for texturing, exporting my Archicad projects as .obj, i found this format to be the must adequate for importing them to C4D.

Pietro i will love to know what you think about MaxwellRender, you have been a great Artlantis beta tester and now that next week we are going to the Maxwell beta stage i will love to read your thoughts.

Best regards.

HELLO FRANCISCO!!!!!! :P :P :P :P I,m really happy to see you here.

Yes, i bought Maxwell about two months ago, but i had to learn C4D to use it in mac, so until now that the Artlantis beta is over i,m having time to try it out.

One interesting thing that happen yesterday is that i spend less time preparing a scene in maxwell then i did in Artlantis, and of course the results are incomparable.

I'm really happy to see a friend from artlantis here. What are you using to try Maxwell out.

Best regards.

Hi Nicolas :)
happy for reading to you...

I'm using C4D just for texturing too, but I use the plug-in for archicad to dialogue with cinema: in this way I don't miss my texture work when i change the model in archicad.

I begin to use maxwell only when the plug-in for cinema on mac was available and I like it very much because only with the phisical sky I can resolve the illuminations problems and i can use my time to improve the texturing fase.

I think M~R will be the better render engine for th mac users and I hope to have IES light profiles on mac with maxwell render

Have fun with m~R
