below 1 diffraction can be controlled to all decimals.. like 1,001

however values below 1 are not possible.

i am currently dealing with a scene including .ies/.ldt files, and the glare they produce even at diffraction 1 is very intense.

lowering the multilight intensity helps, but the rendering will get too dark.

it'd be great to control the effect completly!

yep! for now that's a way... blending luminosity should work quite well.
