Any features you'd like to see implemented into Maxwell?

I have seen the examples of fog with an mxm, but maybe there could be a way to define an area in the scene for fog with parameters. As for volume lighting, isn't that just light traveling through fog (small particles)? I just thought of some methods to test... Anyway, please?

How exactly do you imagine that? AFAIK the only way to do something with Maxwell, is modeling... How can you model fog? I think we have seen some nice examples, try to use a cloud material on a huge box surrounding your scene.

I think the atmosphere model would theoretically cover volume fog if it was working properly. Fog would be high turbidity and moisture in the atmosphere.

The alpha had volumetric lightning, there was some really nice renders and tests with it ! disco ball from Sam7

Sure it would be nice to have it back!

Yes, I remember that now but it is not so easy to add it to today's Maxwell, unless the rewritten env. model we are about to see with next release, takes care of that situation.

So, is this a known issue?

Thanks a lot for your response, I will update and […]

did you tried luxCore?
