in the meantime you could run maxwell from the command line using a batch file that is scheculed to run at a certain time...

HUH?

how do yopu setup a .bat file to run at a specific time?!?

this comand would be of great help if you could explain!
acctually is there anywhere i could find a refrence that explains what kind of comands like this "run at specific time" there are available to run inside a .bat in specific orders times, maybe a way to setup a bat file so it runs a comand for a specific time and then stops it, upon which running another comand?
-thanks,

luke

It's a windows feature. look under the control panel for scheduled tasks and use the maxwell reference to make a batch file using the maxwell command line rendering. Then you can get it to start at whatever time you want.

sweetness, i thought that the time would be sent off by a internal comand inthe batch, but I had never thouhgt of using scheduled tasks!

BTW you can use schedule task to start BB server (when installed as a service) when a computer is idle for a specified period of time. It will even start up under a different username and stop when the user comes back from luch if you get what I mean...

would be very nice to have a batch renderer inside maxwell

anyway the network rendering queue would do all this when properly implemented so hopefully soon this thread will be obselete.
