Any features you'd like to see implemented into Maxwell?

64-bit version is on the way. Stuart or Allen said that Luxology are working on it and they would like to launch it this year. ( They mentioned some Cocoa-Carbon troubles.)

I remember a Siggraph announcement in 2005 by Brad saying there would be a linux version, thats vanished pretty well.....disappointed!!

Yeah that sucked big time. In all the articles about Modo from cg magazines etc., they always mentioned that it's available on Win, OSX and Linux, but they never lived up to that promise. Nowadays they don't mentioned Linux support anymore.

Some people said that Modo is hard to learn - perhaps you have wrong learning methods? I've been studying Modo over weekend and I must say that it's pretty easy to learn.
My friend bought this dvd tutorial http://www.digitaltutors.com/store/prod ... =87&page=1 I borrow it and I found it very useful.

This dude shows you how to make that Mini from the beginning and it's vey easy to understand even to guy like me(Rhino, Microstation, Studiotools).

I don't have much experience of polygon modeling, but I'm trying to learn it because it's very useful in industrial design. I think eventually I'll buy Silo instead of Modo(too expensive) but who knows?

So this thread is about to get MR plugin for Modo.. count me in. 8)

Woops, I didnt put my vote in +1 here, just got a new whiz bang dual quadro and 64 bit OS but theres no linux modo as yet, and modo isn't compiled for 64 bit yet so the memory ceiling is 4Gb and it just chews it up, nothing worse than the pop up that that says insufficient memory to continue render aaargh!

Running Cinema at the moment and I'm about to switch!
A new Plugin would make the migration worthwhile for me

I thought Modo already had a descent internal render engine?

it's more than decent, is one of the best on the market. I think at least the fastest. But, regarding me, i'm enough tired to use lightwave as output for maxwell, so a modo plugin could be a beautiful thing!

in some cases, expecially in architecture rendering i've seen almost no differerence between maxwell and modo renders. But the modo render was 15 minutes and the maxwell 3 hours! BTW, it's useless to say that Maxwell is the best.
