sure i am..life from a human point of view is biased all the time.....sounds reasonable for humans to need more , and more ...doesn`t matter what..speed, monney, etc,etc, a dirt shader .... i`m happy with a realistic aproach of life....if maxwell will have two running modes unbiased/biased guess what people will do?use unbiased and long render times, or use biased and shorter render times , but similar results...
sure they will try to trick , and probably use a dirt shader..... :D
yes i think maxwell has set a standard on it`s own but nobody lives alone....for long time

that`s not a critique,,,just a simple fact......the shortest path, the easyest job, the ...etc, etc...we are so lazy after all....

I blended several metal textures with several different rust textures using the fR-Dirt material to blend between auto-generated clean and rusty areas according to object proximity as well as concave areas.

Maybe what you talking about is 'dirt simulation' - a simulated weathering of a surface based on some environmental parameters?

But maybe your description ends the ambient occlusion arguments.
