Not agreeing with imperial units is completely fine (it wouldn't bother me at all if we switched over to metric units here in the US) but, putting personal opinions aside, asking about the implementation of imperial seems to be a very valid request. If it's not added into Studio because not enough people are requesting, i can understand but discounting the request due to personal opinions of the software company seems a bit...well, odd.

I absolutely agree it is a valid request, and as you say it is more a balance between:
1) few people asking for it
2) risk of making the system more error prone (we have lots of terrible experiences dealing with scale factors in both Maxwell and Realflow, each plugin can mess up things in a different way with different scale factors and axis conventions)

But of course our personal opinion is not the key when it is time to decide when to implement a feature or not. Pretty much all the developers hate incorrect approaches such as IES files or Bump mapping and it does not mean we are not supporting them :)

Sorry to kick this dead horse, but it is the wish list forum after all

It would be nice to have configurable units in deep image output, looks like it defaults to meters now which makes it error prone to import 3d scene to Nuke and scaling everything in 3d when the exr data could just be scaled up by Maxwell.
