This is not a bonus this is the basics.

You bought it you own it. You have the right to re-sell or give to someone. If you contest with them there is no company police that would deter you from transfering your license. Just complain a little that they HAVE to let you transfer the ownership of your asset.

I've bought many softwares that had this police.. and when I needed to sell it. I never had a problem because they can't deny you from transfering the ownership of your investment.

On an interesting note.. NewTek even has an online form for transfer of ownership... I love LIght Wave 3d that's why I have it. (and I don't think of selling it but it is nice to know how hassle free it would be)
