I know this is a weird one, and shouldn't go to the top of the list but it it would be a really beneficial bonus feature!

There have been many times at work where I have renders going for a few hours where i can't really do anything else other than sit and wait in my office chair for multiple hrs browsing the internet. I'll leave to get dinner/drinks, go home, or run errands or whatever in the neighborhood...only to come back a couple hrs later and realize my render crashed 10 minutes in or i accidentally did a region render or whatever it is that the render didn't finish.

There are some other programs that I've used this feature on for various reasons and found it surprisingly useful. Like i mentioned, i know it isn't really a high priority feature but is something that would be pretty nice to have!

I wouldn't say it's as unimportant as you're alluding to. I'd love a feature like this, would save me a lot of time as the Maxwell network isn't the most stable thing in the world.
