Any features you'd like to see implemented into Maxwell?

I would like to have a QTVR output in Maxwell.

Of course, i can do QTVR with some extern tool, but i heve to render many views and then stitch them in that tool. But if maxwell suport direct export, i will do only one render... I think, it should not be so dificul to integrate...

What do you think??

I think this will be a problem for them until the vignetting problem is fixed. I've been doing a few of these lately using GoCubic and you get the black faded edges at the edge of the pictures. It's not that hard to fix using Photoshop, but it is a little annoying. Anyways, I think I remember reading somewhere that they were going to work on the vignetting.

I also wish to get QTVR support.

Beside Vignetting it's not too complicated to create a cubic output from M~R
using 6 shots. Considered the render times any direct output would be not
much of a time saver.

Vignetting is a hug issue though. However, with HDR output there's good
reason to assume that we should be able to fix it.

So the workflow will be:
 Render 6 x 90° shot
 Convert to HDR
 Compensate for natural vignetting
 Convert HDR > TIF
 Convert TIF to QTVR

Doesn't sound to much hassle to me.

I hate to be forced to use x formats to get the desired result. And rendering it once instead of 6times would save me money and time and nerves.
I just want to set it up and then do something else. in the end I can see the result. That's what I want. I don't want to mess around with the camera and 6 different pictures that have to be converted and reworked and converted and stitched together and then converted again. :(

I doubt that it will cost render time. Cubicals are very efficient in terms of
resolution. So to render you need some days or some machines either way.

To mount them in the end costs you 15 minutes, with the added bonus of
having more possibilities in post. In terms of total effort you can neglect that.

I rather prefer 3 tools doing their job right than 1 tool doing 3 things soso.

Scrap that. HDR output was delayed in the last week (was on the feature list
but is now supposed to be delivered as an add on later). So the workflow I
designed doesn't work with 1.0 set :-(

The vigneting is not a problem to create a panoramic camera.
If it could be possible to rotate the lens arround the 360 degrees, during a rendering, we could get a full spherical panoramic image!

Please enable this!!!!

This feature, together with the multilights control, are the main two ways to create animations using Maxwell, but just rendering a single image.
That is a good reason to have it working, considering the huge rendering times.

So, is this a known issue?

Thanks a lot for your response, I will update and […]

did you tried luxCore?
