The last time I saw this script it was for beta. I think it would be very useful now. Even with no other solution than MXM files it would be easy for a programmer to make

I won't sign it, if it is not a piece of art.. So far, I haven't done any...

I agree, it's something that would come in handy, and I believe it's a feature that is common to most 3rd party renderers.

Yes, Vray for example has a scene converter and a material converter.
