...or are you just happy to see me?

I was hoping Apple would resist making a huge brick phone. Even the smaller one seems too large now.

The new U2 album sucks. I mean much more so than the last decade of stadium la-la-la songs.

yes, it's a big joke that apple is also following this "phablet" hype now ...not that i wanted to buy an iPhone but i think it will be a huge support for this trend. :(
I'm still waiting for a sub 4" phone with HD display and good hardware - i hope that at some time in the not so distant future the next trend will be
miniaturisation again - i'm still using my 8 years old Sony Ericsson K750i and i will not buy anything new before i can get a phone small phone with good specs...

And concerning the U2 album... maybe they have done it because they knew it is not good and they should better take apple's money.

Same here. His comment about big phones was one time where I agreed with Steve Jobs. I've always liked to keep my phone in the small "watch" pocket in my jeans...my nokia lumia 710 fits, but not likely many of the newer phones.

Since last month, I had a pretty cheap Nokia 2690 and never had any smart phone up to date. Finally, jumped the boat with Galaxy S5 and I must confess it's a fabulous gear offering the planet's best communication, computation and visualization comfort on a mobile. It's OK, I hate it being large but it really worths. Like everything else, nothing is mandatory... Well, until one day... Further rejection is a problem with adaptation. Be water! 8)

Unless you stop thinking it as a phone, the size will keep bothering you.

We don't own phones any longer. They are PDAs with built-in phone functions.
I rarely use my Nexus 5 as a phone. I use it as a calendar, alarm clock, calculator, notebook, grocery list, gaming pad, camera, mp3 player, GPS navigator, compass, flash light, internet browser ... but rarely as a phone (that's why I have a prepaid plan on it). All of these functions benefit from the larger screen. As a side note, it is quad core and as powerful as the PC I used to render all my Maxwell gallery in 2006 :-)

In that case you have an ipad mini which is a really nice size. This new one is now too big to carry in your pocket, and the screen is smaller than an Ipad Mini, so nothing but disadvantages for me. I rarely carry a bag with me, or a man purse, so where am I supposed to put this phone.....

Which brings me to the point: When will Next Limit finally allow us to use all our Nokias, Apples and Samsungs as render nodes? Got a desk drawer full of them. All those cores just lazily idling away during office hours, shifting some bits here and there for no effect : (
