- only 1 CPU with 12 cores (@ 1,86GHz ?)
- only 4 RAM slots
- only proprietary PCIe SSD (RAID?) no SATA SSD/HDD, only external via thunderbolt
- Dual GPU
- only ATI FirePRO

ah yes, i think the price will be pro-like

but it could be a nice heater for cold winter days, blowing the hot air upwards under the table

They sure know how to present something. Who knows, maybe now we'll immediately see copy cats going with the same design. It does make sense for many reasons, and it's a lot of power in a very small space. I think with dual GPU it's definitely better geared toward heavy video editing and not necessarily rendering, especially since they chose ATI.

Rounded corners are so over. The next iPhone will be like a thin hockey puck (black only, no more bright Apple products). You will have a round iWatch, iPod, iPad, iPhone, Mac Pro. It's gonna be revolutionary.

Actually, if they had an option for 3 modules...choose 2 gpu + 1 cpu or 2 cpu + 1 gpu, the 2 cpu one would be cooler.
