Nice! Whats this I read about 42 mp sensor?!? I just bought a d800 and this little thing is trying to outdo it! Nice crisp lens by the looks of it too.

Church shot is great, great tonal range, but is there some sharpening or jpeg artifact going on?... I've had a DP1 for ages (the low-res first gen wide-angle sigma) it doesnt have this sharp look?

This merril looks like it will be good with P-scan. :)

Dear Santa... I want one!

I had a look on the web at the raw and jpg output from this cam, and quite often I prefer the jpg because the raw seems to have a slight hdr effect where there is too much detail/light in the shadows. I guess its possible to adjust this in post and gives you more options, but is the sensors raw ouput effectively seeing the world in a different way than we do?

Actually thinking about it this raw output is extremely useful.

Hi Eric, i think the hdri effect you are talking about is because some exaggerate usage of the "fill light" filter of sigmas software.

here are to samples.

raw converted without any enhancements

and color corrected in sigmas software

The problems of this camera are with low light conditions. Very difficult to make portraits with 800 or more iso.
