This is their server platform LGA 771, so basically 4 sockets and up.

Instead, the one to look for is the LGA 2011 / Sandy Bridge Xeons due out later this year for 2P systems

yessir, i'm frothing at the mouth for those to become available. I'm currently running a 980x and after seeing what the current crop of $300 sandybridges do compared to this, I can't wait to see what the highend stuff does! I haven't been able to find anything but do you know if it's going to have more than 6 cores? hopefully 8?
