Wha, 1 week left and no thread yet? Let's hear your predictions!

Semi-Finals: Brazil, Italy, Spain, Germany
Finals: Brazil, Italy
Winner: Brazil

Brazil showing great team spirit, i think they haven't even been fully challenged yet.
Italy... personally i'd rather they hadn't even qualified, but they've got a quality lineup again.
Spain being very consistent, some say the best team around right now.
Germany is seriously hampered this WC, but for some reason they usually get pretty far no matter what.

Honorary mention: The Netherlands. A pleasure to watch, but as always i seem them flying home prematurely.

p.s. Some humor:

Being a huge football fan born and raised in England, I'm supporting England all the way... But I'd kind of like that prediction to come true. I drew Argentina in the World Cup sweepstake with some friends of mine. ;)

Really looking forward to the World Cup, though. Booked Friday off work to see the opening day. My predictions...

Semi-Finals: Brazil, Argentina, Spain, Germany
Finals: Brazil, Spain
Winner: Spain

I still think Spain have the strongest team. It's taken them a while but they're finally achieving what they should have been achieving for ages.

Yeah, i was rooting for you Red Devils. Sadly i couldn't watch that game.

USA should be able to reach the next round if they keep it up.

well, they all grew up in germany and for some parts of their parents are german.
as germany is a country with lots of immigrants, i think it is usual and a good thing that they also are part of the national teams.
(it is the same in lots of other countries)

4:0 yesterday and nice play (especially offensivly)

Germany have played the best so far, by far. They just looked so good going forward. Although Netherlands might be doing OK now. Missing it due to work. :(

Was gutted with the England result, but the performance wasn't that bad. Took a massive mistake from Green for them to score. I'm hoping Green gets dropped after this World Cup. Not just for his mistake on Saturday, but he's been poor for ages (in my opinion) and makes a lot of mistakes (wrong passes, spilling the ball, handling outside the box) yet still got picked... Now he's made an error on the big stage maybe now people won't feel so good about him in goal.

Like I say, I don't think that one mistake is the end of the world. Stuff like that happens. It's just he's made a lot of stupid mistakes prior to that.

There's not a huge amount of choice of goalkeepers, mind... Hart looks decent though and James would probably be fine in this World Cup.

Agreed. For some reason people only feel like pointing that out when it comes to the German team. Whether it matters or not, they're visually still mostly Caucasian.

This is the usual image, with an occasional brazilian or african thrown in for some ball magic.

In contrast, the french team in the past years.
