All those Arion demo videos are on an nVidia 285. The GF100s will be 8x faster. Imagine 2 GF195s  (32x faster)

Can't get these damn videos to play...they load forever

*scratch that, just took a while.

I'm not sure I am into the whole refresh thing they've got right now. You mine as well set something up in your app that you currently use, hit render and tell the person to wait...that's basically what you're doing with this..you have to wait for it to clear to a certain point before it's useful. If any right now, I think the vray RT is the best bet.

your right JC but you can use the graphics card's power in addition to that..not bad. also you see reflections from your lights immediately and can place them to your liking without doing 45 test renderings..kinda neat

Random Control has removed any topics from their archives about what was promised in RC4...sounds strangely familiar

The reason for the forum reorganization has been explained and your thread about RT disappointment has been moved to Customer Support - where it belongs.

Thanks for your support.

also check that thing called "octane render". looks real promising... how about "maxwell 3" that we can upgrade from our 1.7 and get that neat "use all the stuff in your network and get a decent clear image in a decent time" gizmo ... from my first maxwell day till today, it's always the same problem: too much noise, too much time to clear it. don't care for all other stuff because what causes me the most problems is that my renders are noisy and vray's aren't. I want that gizmo too !

Hey Max,

maybe you should go for free(dom) and open-source software, you can then develop and extend the tools yourself, and there is no "sneaky bastards" alternatively from one side or another. It's not ironic : you seem to invest much time and hope in comunities, love to learn and contribute, it will probably be less frustrating for you and more productive. License fee = time (development/comunication/marketing work), but there are multiple balance possible.

Shitting on people in not fair IMHO, you are free to use something else if you are unhappy with privative forum or software licence policies.. so nobody is to blame exept you, from not using you freedom or assuming your choices. (that's a friendly message!)

Sorry for off topic, all theses developement previews are indeed very interesting ! Thanks for the infos mates!

What i'm trying to say -sorry if my english is not good or sounded harsh: i am inviting you to look at free and open source software and philosophy because I think you might be interested. You seem to be angry about privative development policies, I can understand, but bashing the developpers lead to nothing and only express frustration, which can be overcome by alternative software usage and consumption.

Richard Stallman is interesting about that : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SNBMdDaYhZA (not looked at this specific conference, you might find better). We continue talk in private if you want i don't want to do more off-topic ;) Cheers !

Ya they made that very clear....

It's sad to see people who were over at the alternate Maxwell forum (when everything broke down) who are now swearing that this Arion player is exactly what RC4 was supposed to be. All the company people over there are acting like they have just had hot pokers to the brain.
