My Apple 24" gave up the ghost today and I started looking for a replacement. I was amazed at the low prices and wide variety to choose from. Read a bunch of reviews and am thinking about a few. Thought I would ask you guys what you think?
I would like to keep the price point below $500 if possible but the lower the better of course. The BenQ's are looking pretty good at this point but I really have no experience with them...the reviews look good though, as do the Samsung Multisyncs.

Any thoughts and suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks much,
Ron

Samsungs are pretty good I know... here I am using only La Cie... since 10 years... never had a glitch.. but they are indeed expensive... I mean much more than $500... but the Samsungs are good..

Thanks Hervé...I had a La Cie giant blue before the HD 24" and I did like it...the color was right on. But it was a huge thing that weighted nearly 100 lbs. I used to set my loaves of bread on it to rise in the winter...worked great for that! I think it cost $2400 when I bought it new and it lasted about 5 years. I am kind of leaning towards a Samsung, but not sure yet.

Cheers, Ron

I've been using Samsungs for years now, currently a 20" syncmaster 206BW which is very nice indeed....cheap as chips too. :)

I've got two fairly 'high end' samsung 19" widescreen LCD monitors and they have been reliable in terms of how long they have lasted, but from the get go they've had viewing angle issues. You have to get kind of low to see what you want to see if worried about color.
