I just finished listening to the audio book version of "The Pixar Touch" by David Price- a lot of it is pretty interesting - at least to 3D nerds like myself and maybe a couple of others around here
. The book covers early rendering, texturing, bump map and SSS and how they came about and were integrated into computer animation. Some of it is pretty dry but a lot of it is really fascinating- Steve Jobs and how guys from Atari, Apple, Lucasfilm were all involved at one point or another. Thought it might make good summer reading
