With Maxwell's 32 bit hdr output, you can technically do anything you could do with a photo. I have used Photomatix on some of my renders and the difference is pretty noticeable. I'll post a side by side in a while.

thanks for that sample.

but i am rather searching a solution for much bigger brightness changes. where i can really compress the color range so much so i can clearly see the exterior scene and a fully lit interior... is that possible withoug losing interior or exterior details to burn or blackness ?
