Hey, I've started to write a little tool to help my imageing workflow a bit that I'd like to share with you. It's probably quite buggy, but there are a few brave souls on this forum, right??!

My original motivation was that I didn't like having to open photos, resize them, save them and then drag them into an email or IM client... Give it a try, probably easier to see what it does when you use it anyway.

The Image Mincr :) allows you to drag an image file onto it, or paste one with Ctrl+V and it then automatically processes it to resize it to a specified size. The image gets saved in a temp folder and you can access it conveniently from the app, by dragging the bottom image, or Ctrl+C-ing and then pasting into other applications.

Image Mincr Download Zip (you will have to replace "__" with "d u g g e" in the domain, sorry for the inconvenience!)

And share your ideas / bug reports, please!

That looks to be a clever tool, Johann. Nice of you to share.

That's pretty cool, Johann, it seems to work fine here. Leo, you might be able to run this (and some other Microsoft .NET apps) if you set up Monoon your Mac. I haven't messed around with this yet myself, but it's been under development for a few years now and reportedly getting to a pretty stable state.

JD, glad it's working for you!

I didn't even know about Photoshop droplets (cute name btw!) but from what I gathered briefly looking at them, you don't have easy control over its parameters once you have set one up, right? Like the imagesize for example. And the mincr gets you instant filesize and visual feedback :)
