I have a problem exporting a dxf of the current camera view from SW. Do you first of all have to make a drawing from the assembly to be able to export it as a dxf?

If I make a drawing, the current view option doesn't take into account the correct perspective. I also tried making a named view using the current camera and selecting that, but the drawing view doesn't match the camera view. The camera view is more wide angle while the view I dropped in the drawing is different, it's seems like it's a perspective view but it doesn't match the viewport camera.

Any ideas??

Try this:

1. open the part
2. select one of the iso views
3. View > Display > toggle on the 'Perspective' option (if it isn't)
4. View > Modify > Orientation
5. use the window to create a new view, it will be a copy of the current one
6. File > Make Drawing from Part
7. you will find the named view you created in the list of views to insert

This will be a perspective view, i.e. not parallel projection, but it will not be like you can get with an actual camera. I think that's the best you'll get though.
