I've tried to be such a good person and it turns out I've been unwittingly sending out spam. I'm going to stick my head into a bucket of acid now...after washing my face with liquid nitrogen...and banging my nose really hard against the sink...but right before I do that I'll...eh, you get the picture.

I have been receiving spam from those addresses for the last week or so. Apparently one of the addresses in the list was a send all.

While I was just trying to report it to Nextlimit, I unfortunately and inadvertantly sent a copy to everyone.

I am sorry if I have caused you any inconvenience.

I will now being replying to everyone in that list. So I guess I'll be busy for a while...

I also got several over the last week.

I also got an email from someone else blaming me for the spam and politely informing me that my database had been compromised.

I hope this does not mean our email addresses are 'out there' being used as the sender of spam - spoofing I think it is called.

Here's hoping the problem is fixed and I don't receive any more disgruntled emails or spam.

flower, that was me who sent it, and I wasn't blaming anyone but the sender, which appeared to be Next Limit.

I forwarded the message to the Next Limit addresses in the header of the spam I received and one of them just happened to be a "send all" address, which shouldn't have been public anyway.

So basically I sent a forwarded email that was ONLY supposed to go to NEXT LIMIT and EVERYONE in the WORLD ended up getting it. A little irritating, embarrassing, and humbling all at once.

So again it wasn't directed at anyone but Next Limit for appearing to be sending me spam or at least informing them that something was wrong.

Believe me I have been replying to emails about this for days now.

Anyway, .. since you have the power, ...why respond individually? Why not just do a single global send apology ?

Ehhh ... roll with it. If people get touchy over a single piece of 'non-intended-quasi-spam-accidental-but-actually-meant-to-be-good' piece of email, ...well, ..give me a break. Given the deluge of real crap that's actually sent out per second of every minute of everyday everyday, ... then what could possibly be so so so bad... ? lol...
