Hi,

I spend a lot of time reading forums like this one. I was wondering if any of you ever ran across an application that work sort of like a newsgroup reader, but with the forum categories. To browse the forums in an application might be quicker, and how cool wouldn't it be if you could attach images and files in posts just like to a newsgroup?

only if the forum supports it!

NNTP was favourable, like the old max webboard use to support but it is prone to bots and virus's and or security so isn't very popular (except with the users!) any more!

I don't think you will have much luck.

I see. There SHOULD be something inbetween, where security is better, with logins and everything.

But how are NNTP-groups handling bots and such?
