Right now, really get an Intel CPU. I really don't see any way around it.

The Core2Duo 6300 and upwards range should fit the budget.

You will need a different case. Since your MB is EATX, it'll be too big for the one you selected.

There's not many EATX cases on the market, but I've always been happy with the Coolermaster Stacker cases.

I'd also recommend getting a beefier, and better power supply. This is one component that - although doesn't get a lot of the lime-lite - is something you don't want to skimp on. Plus you need to make sure that it has a 24 +8 pin configuration (if you go with this MB). A standard ATX PS will not work. It's got to be a 'server' PS, generally known as EPS12V type.

Personally, even though I've got a couple Opteron systems, right now I'd go with one of the dual/quad core Intel systems. I think you'll get more bang for the buck.
