displacement is not the problem you might do it with your 3d package, what a render only can do is microdisplacement Could be a cool thing for maxwell, but for me I can use mental ray/or fur-hair for that and compose it later. The question is, what is faster, doing microdisplacement with Vray/mentalray and compose it into a maxwellrender, or try doing it all at once with maxwell?

Maybe a question of time!

displacement is not the problem you might do it with your 3d package....

PLeaso show me how to do displacement in SketchUp we don't even have bump maps!!!

This picture above is not displacement - maybe microdisplacement.
But I am sure that this is made with hair!! Also lets look at the bottom of the object, there is hair also - but a totaly different material!
So this is made with a hair plug!

I am sure its a fake
