not beta tester but from what I seen it seems as powerfull as Zbrush but with a normal interface & pipeline, which I guess is a lot for most of us :)

I've been looking at it for a while.
Does anybody know what formats it imports/exports?
Didn't see a way to ask Mud HQ such a simple quesiton.

I am interested but there is no email or communication pipeline. I tried to click on the movie clips and was asked for a username and password for the resricted area but they offered no way to register. Too spacy for me...

I am finding it a bit pricey, not seeing anything else... no videos, no email, no forum.. what's left... a price tag...

OK , who ordered it..? 8)

I've been a beta tester for a while. All I can say is that, its a lot better then zbrush, simpler, more powerful, and very east to learn. Kind of looks like photoshop in 3d, designed for maya users with corresponding controls. Very good, clean simple. Can handle a lot more polygons then zbrush I believe upto 60 million. Zbrush craps around 10. Defenently recomend it if you are going to do cheracter work or organics.

Wow, didn't know about the 60 vs 10 million polygon, it must make quite a difference!

Any idea if a mac version is planned? ... and a discount if we give them our Zbrush licence ? :P

Maybe it can be an alternative, especially for mac users (I don't know when it will be out)?

this looks cool too ! only the talent of this artist is a little questionable... :)

it's time that zbrush gets some heavy enemies. of course, the tools (OH NO ! wrong terminus in «z-language» :) ) are nice, especially those layers in 2.5 that allow a kind of non-linear workflow, but it all is so complicated.

and who wants to smear pixols? come on ! i think, the only artist that ever used this technique is Meats Meier...

Thanks for the link Hervé, Modo is growing stable and impressive! I think once it'll have animation capabilities it will be a really serious concurent to Lightwave! Are you happy with it? Pretty impressive render in NL's NL by the way!! ;)

Hi Dmitry,
Thank you for posting.
Could you tell us what formats Mudbox imports/exports?
Thats a deal maker or deal killer for me.
And how about baked displacements? Possible?
Another make or break feature.
Thanks in advance for any insights you can offer.

When I visited their site over the last few months, they had demo vids that were quite impressive. Now all thats gone. And no way to sign onto a Forum, or register to get on and look around. Very curious, and not in a very positive way.
I was reallly looking forward to this release.

This software looks great and promising! I would get myself an educational version, if it was available for Mac and I was sure i could upgrade to full version without paying the full price for it.

After re-reading the feature descriptions, it appears it can bake displacements. It also states its designed to be used in the typical pipeline for their intended market, so one would have to assume it would import and export *typical* formats. It would be nice if they listed those, though.
I also wonder if its 2.5D like ZBrush or true 3D........
On the fence, but getting closer to hitting the *Buy* button.
