Please post here anything else (not relating to Maxwell technical matters)

Hi there!

CAUTION:
If you are a fanboy don't read this!

Could some one tell me why it takes so long for NL to fix things that are broken?
I am not talking about MR it's self, because I am well aware about the beast a program like MR can be. I am talking about the plugins.

There are some annoying bugs in the C4D plug that are keeping people like me from using it . I have consulted professional plugin programmers and they have told me that it is an easy task for a knowledgable programmer to fix these things.
Anyway, if you are wondering why I am posting something like this AGAIN, the answer is simple.

NO ONE FROM NL HAS RESPONDED TO MY PREVIOUS ONES.
So before calling me a ranter, nagger e.t.c., remember that I am one of those people that when I get a response from a NL person I always say Thank you and I wait for the time to come.

P.S. For those who don't speak English well, "beast" is not a bad word, but a suggestion of size. Beast means VERY BIG and difficult to handle bexause of it's size.

Hi Noseman!

I was in this situation with the Mac/LW plug in: as if it HAD to have at least one remaining bug, so that if you want to use Maxwell you had to use Studio.. but since v1.1, the mac LW plug is quite solid and usable (i mean: I can render from lightwave.. before always needed to be opened in studio)..

It's just a matter of time.. but yes the plug-in developpers are not really quick at NL..!

Hi noseman,

One of the reasons you don't get any response could be your attitude, to begin with how you start your post ( If you are a fanboy don't read this! ) could be interpreted as being very offending.
Also some previous posts you made are only very angry, and do not make people eager to help and might switch some to ignore mode.

And as tokiop says, it's just a matter of time.
The programmers have been working day and night to get maxwell where it is now, and they will continue to work very very hard indefinetly

Writing this respectfully, Nico.

Hey Nico, thanks for your reply.

My attitude derives from NL's attitude. I intentionally started the thread with that comment. I have heard more than once people using the stupid argument that "ranters" annoy them. As if anybody forced anyone to read anything. All I wanted was to protect them from a foul read. :P
You may have your reasons to like MR so much, OTOH I have my own reasons for complaining. I am not your "typical" complainer, nor where many others (most of them). I will not stop complaining as long as I feel ignored.
There are people here that have a childish attitude that reminds me of football fans: "don't say anything against my team, or I'll call my big brother".

I have stated before that for every "annoying" rant, there has been an equaly annoying reaction by a "fanboy" (I use the word to make it clear whom I mean). No one banned anybody because he was supporting NL using rude comments e.t.c.

This whole situation has started by NL's way of dealing with righfully unhappy customers.

I have always been respectfull, polite, cool and mediocre in my comments.
I have always stated my complaints with polite emails towards NL but lately I stopped getting responses.

That said, now I would like to comment directly on your comments.
"could be interpreted as being very offending"
by who? If anybody considers himself a "fanboy" but is offended about it, then he is at least stupid without a sence of humor. Beeing a supporter of the technology, the company and their efforts e.t.c. is very welcome, but fanatism is another story.

"Also some previous posts you made are only very angry, and do not make people eager to help and might switch some to ignore mode"
NL's attitude "switched" me to angry mode. If there is such a thing, then it must work both ways. Oh, and BTW, these people you are talking about, have they paid me any money? I don't think so. I have paid money to NL and I wan't my money's worth. Other than that I get angry.
The fact you ignore is that, even though I am angry, I always tend to help when I can, but for a funny reason you only recall the angry posts. Sorry but I think you are a bit prejudice against me.
"And as tokiop says, it's just a matter of time."
I agree, but more than 1 year for a plugin is insane. I have come to the conclusion that part of NL's bad marketing is because they are stingy with money. If you can't do it yourself, HIRE SOMEBODY.

This could turn into an intresting comversation between civilised humans. Unfortunately I forsee a post deletion very soon, typical for this forum.

You belong to a respectfull bunch Nico, that even though I disagree with, I enjoy your company and conversation. I just hope NL was such.

Thanks for your replies
Best regards Thanassis Pozantzis AKA noseman.

Nico,

I understand that you try to calm down and moderate everybody, but Maxwell team is not always honest..

what linux users must think, after maxwell team said "linux version soon" for maybe 1 year and a half? ...

Even if it's not usefull and not really tolerated here, people are in their right to be angry. Not because of the delay but the way delays are announced and hidden.. In my point of view, if people are angry it's not because they are "angry people" from the start, but because something made them angry..
