I've watched a few games and I have to say, it can get pretty entertaining at times. So I must take back some of my football vs. soccer comments.
I also have to mention that I don't like how after every little collision between players, they always fall to the ground (trying to get a penalty/foul?). Brilliant bunch of actors!

PS The judge (arbitre?) must have trouble after the match because he did a very bad job today. Missed a lot of faults on both sides and the penalty in the end... Not a good one i should say!

He did not miss the faults, he simply didn't give them. Football is a great game but a referee can take all its beauty. Congratulations Russia and condolences to Netherlands. I knew Russia plays excellent but I've thought Netherlands was the favorite for this tournament. It was interesting watching Russia won easily.

a pity the netherlands had to loose. but they didn't play as easily as in the previous games so russia earned the win.

looking forward to germany - turkey. this will be hell in some german cities, no matter who wins.

Agreed, it's the only sport i know where it's so blatantly obviously. Very annoying.

I remember when i was little, my friend did the same when we played football (i mean come on, it was tame). Guess who of us was training in a club

These are the most crazy quarter finals ever....not a single match ended the way experts thought it would have....let's hope this will keep on happening since Spain is said to be the plausible winner against Italia!
