I was originally thinking of building a rig my self but it seems that there isnt a price savings of building it your self....

How hard is it to buy extra ram and a small hard drive as i go on....

Also i would want to run a windows 64 bit OS on it as I use solidworks

is it hard to do and is it going to be expensive....

I can on;y afford the 2.8 version with 2 gigs of ram right now...

advice : Install the win system on a separate HDD..

I have a question about the extra HD for the windows OS.

So you install all you windows and programs on it.

Therefore all the associated files are also stored there , pictures images renderings etc....



or is it possible to have a shared drive to have access in both os modes ?


I guess does file management become a headache or duplicated ?

he he good one.. I am not really strong when it comes to networking..

I can access the PC files from the Mac side OSX (but can't save them back..) but for now i can't acess Mac files from the win side...


maybe another user is better than me answerig these questions..

I know there is a utility prog somewhere though.. but it's not free..

I think its something about formatting the drives as NSTF .. or something liek that ...

as os mac can read both but windows cant

for installing the xp 64 do I just buy a hard drive and plug it in.. then install xp 64 on it ? how ?
