ludenhud: Thanks :) some views from home never hurt heh..

ivox: Thanks :D it's not too bad for the relatively low price (approx 300 euro). However it's just a regular pocketcamera with a few extra functions like those you find in bigger and more costly cameras. It's this one i got - http://www.dcresource.com/reviews/olympus/sp350-review/ it'll do a pretty good job until that day i can afford a real good digital SLR with lenses and all that good stuff :)

Btw, great & cute pics of all the lil kids

Cheers & thanx again!

LarsSon, your images have some extra richness to them (very sharp and vivid) ... what camera did you use on those ?

He mentioned it's the Canon 350D, but I'm wondering what lens he used for those morning misty shots....perhaps also something special about the light in Finland :) When there is some.....

woo, that's high end ... 8.0 Mp with 22x15mm CCD and the original lens has an f1.0.

f1.0? That can't be right, the lens that comes with it is pretty bad. It goes from 3.5 to 5.6 depending on zoom but it's so light it feels like it's all made of plastic. I'm wondering if LarSon used any L series lens for those pics, one that goes down to 1.2 costs more than the camera :P

ops, you are right. It is indeed a 3.5-5.6 (I didn't read the specs too well  )
The 350D is the one you have too ? right ?

Those children photos are taken in Bratislava (it's not in Finland) Slovakia.
I used Sigma 70-300mm lens. It's not expensive one, but i like it.
I don't have money for L series.

...and what do you mean "when there is light in Finland"? It's allmost
9 pm now, and the sun is still shining quite nicely. After a month it
won't go down at all. :D

Yes, it's a great camera and very similar specs to the 20D which is twice as much. But you can forget about using the supplied lens, unless it's for setting up render tests :)

Elaborate on the issue with the supplied lens...poor quality?
