Hehe, thanks for chiming in Adrian. A friend of mine helped me figure it out the other day, and everything works just fine now. I suppose I will keep IE installed this time to check up on every update that I do from now on. Pain in my arse.

Indeed. I think with the rise of mobile devices, HTML5, and large sites like youtube no longer supporting IE6, we'll soon see its end; it's been nearly 10 years.
