Hello Jan,

really a great tool. unfortunatly this looks (as usual :( ) like a 3dmax based workflow.
but i have read on your page about the possibilty of a Thea render pass, once it is available, to add the same functionality to other 3d apps.

as i use cinema4d i am looking forward to this.
i guess a Thea Render license is then necessary. any other solutions planned ? no way to do this special pass from inside c4d? what information must be on this pass ?

Hello Michael,

the pass with mental ray is necessary since saves UV and reflections data to be used later in COLIMO. Without this pass, change textures or affect reflections with color/textures modifications would not be possible.

This pass must be created as a shader or plugin in the host render engine, so we choose engines used in multiple host apps (like mental ray or thea). About cinema 4d, it's not planed to develop the shader for it, since we don't have any experience with this software or with the internals of the render engine.
