You can see one example;

Let's see the Ivox3's balance. (sorry chris :wink:)

it's now rated 6.4 (76 vote).

but in my capture, it has 6.66 (73 vote).

6.4x76=486.4

6.66x73=486.18

3 guys rate total 0.22.

Ok, let's consider decimal point.

6.404(it's max 6.40)x76 = 486.704 => 486.7

6.655(it's min 6.66) x73=485.815 => 485.9 (because there is only one decimal)

3 guys rated total 0.8. average 0.3.

What the hell is it. :evil:

I lost hope on that. My idea was not that great but a couple of people voted 9and were nice enought to post a comment. Regardless the thing dropped like a stone on a river, i haven't checked since god knows when. But the againg, i am assuming that most of us here are selftaught and probably kept on going due to F*** up people too proud to admit when something might look better. Humble personas are less everyday.

As far as making two different accounts, that's just a wast of time. In other words those pleaople do not have anything else to do that to rate their amazing work.

PS: I will have to say, so far MR community has beign the most humble and best community i've had the pleasure of beign involved in.

I was talking to a friend today who was watching the guy at the next station do it for 2 hours, just setting up hotmail accounts, going onto CGSphere, and voting 0 for a guy he didn't like.

yup. same can be said for the reverse also. I mean how many people are setting up accounts just to vote themselves up....

it's just fun to invent something though.

hey... why don't we have a m~r poll of our own for maxwellized cgspheres... and then... ah forget it. LOL

umm that's more or less what I was insinuating... :roll:

We should just use if for fun. I think that's all it's intended to be. ratings don't really mean much when you're not winning anything. In many ways it's a bit laughable that it's taken so seriously. Abuses are inevitable, que sera, sera...

exactly, rating does not mean anything, because it can be cheated in sooooo many ways.. (imagine a young guy in a classroom calling all his friends to vote for him..) a jury would have been better... but then again.. take it for fun... ! :wink: :wink:

Nice site. Never seen it before... don't have too many opinions on the voting. Why knock down other peoples scores... is there a top prize? Like a Christmas hamper or something.

Why knock scores down ? The entrants vary widely from serious professionals to empty headed teenage boy hobbyists. I wouldn't expect to much ethicality from a certain portion of the latter.

...as for the prize, ... No to the Christmas hamper, ...but there is a fat sphere like hamster that's up for the taking. :P
