Hahaha, $3.50 PBR night, that must be after inflation as well, price seems a little too high for that brand

I recently picked up the book “Panoramic Photography” by the French photographer Arnaud Frich (which I think is fantastic by the way) and it inspired me to try my hand at panoramic images. So camera on tripod these are my first attempts….

Nice photos 4hero, I really like the lighting on the angel, it's a beautiful photo.

Joedex, You did a great job on the stitching of those panoramas, I haven't quite gotten that kind of quality in my attempts. I think they need a little contrast, though. Then again, this is coming from the guy who over-processes damn near every photo :)

Very pleasing to look at, no odd distortions or anything. The first scenery is great, the second is a bit too busy around the corners for my tastes.

Thanks Killian and Adrian for the comments… but you’re right of course they do look a little washed out and lacking in contrast. I’m not trying to make any excuses, well maybe little, but funny enough the original panoramas look much better on my screen (Mac) than the uploaded images show, the colour is more saturated and the contrast is higher. Live, learn and improve. By the way I used a program called AutopanoPro for the stitching.

Ahh, that is pretty typical of a difference in color profiles. If you have photoshop there is a "convert to profile" option that let's you have an accurate view as to what it looks like for the majority of internet viewers. I use the profile "Working RGB- sRGB IEC61966-2.1" with the "Adboe (ACE)" Engine and the "Perceptual" Intent.

In photoshop, you can find this option under the Edit menu. These settings were recommended on Flickr after innumerable amounts of users complained about dull coloration in their photos.
