Not quit as wild as the above, but don't have to go that far either. Just have to look out of my kitchen window. There are six of them, their mum must be tired feeding them. Still have my two chickens, not sure for how long tho.

Fernando, I looked at a lot of the online publishing stuff and I think blurb might be the most convenient of the choices. I've just finished the book and put in a single order to test the prints. I really don't plan on selling any copies other than to close family, you know, the people who tell you something is good just to not hurt your feelings :) But if you produce consistently great photos, which many of you guys do, it might be a good chance to sell some copies. You get to set a price and you also receive 100% of the profit on all copies sold.

Now I'm just waiting for the book, which will be awhile seeing that I'll be in Italy for a month on vacation. I'll just have to check it out when I get back and post some photos of the book to compare quality.

Edit: by the way, here's the preview if you guys want to check out the first 16 pages. http://www.blurb.com/bookstore/detail/253878

Also, my intro is a little satirical, if you don't get it go check out some of the more acclaimed (and usually overly-pompous) photographers' introduction :)
...Just making sure no one thinks I'm an egotistical asshole

Ive been in mid blurb creation for a couple of months now. I am creating a book of just my photography of Boston. But everytime I start laying it out I end up on another shoot and have to rethink the layout again. It will be great to hear your thoughts on the print quality. have a great month in Italy

Here are a couple of shots from the US Memorial Day weekend. I was at the earthfest concert, and while the concert photos i took are nothing special because I didnt have a media pass to shoot up close the photos of the Zombie March war protest that was happening there turned out great.

Thanks a lot Kami, I'm using a Nikon d40x at the moment with a 50mm f1.8 and 18-55mm, 55-200mm. I usually stick to the 50mm, but it's nice having a decent 200mm when you are approaching alligators :)

Jeff, I can't wait to see that one, with all the great Boston photos you've been posting, I'm pretty sure that no matter what layout you use, it'll be a fantastic portfolio. What book are you considering, the 13x11? I hear that if you really want a truly professional looking book, get the hardcover imagewrap, I've heard nothing good about the dust jackets from any of the buyers so far. I have my parents watching the status on it carefully, I'm going to have to wait awhile to see how it turns out, but I'll post some pictures when I get a glance. Italy is great, Sicilian pizza is the shit!
Great new photos also, I like how the one guy has an umbrella corporation symbol on his gas mask, it doesn't get much more zombie than that.

Great work keeping this thread alive guys, i'm glad to see this :) and you all kept it alive with some stunning photos, wow!

rusteberg: Your panorama shot, did you manually stictch that ? it appears that way since it's misaligned, colors mismatch and a few other things :)

I also attempted shooting a couple of panoramas with my camera, handheld digital pocketcamera and stitched together automatically with Autostitch (old release) and then downsized alot in PS with some coloradjustements applied.

Nice pic.

Before you get too excited and imagine a lifetime of whatever, I suggest you take a look at the very nice lady in grey pants on the left.
That is what the cute darlings will look like sooner than you imagine.
There is an old saying that goes something like "look at your fiance's mother. That is who you are about to marry.".
But then, I know you guys are wise enough to know all this.
There are some lines in the "Prince of Tides" that aptly describe the curse of being a beautiful female.
I wouldn't wish it on anyone.
I do enjoy the pictures, though.

Now, look at the bold man behind the ladys....that's how all of us are going to look like at the time those cute ladys will look like the lady in grey.... so everything gets in equilibrium again :P
