He still had to calculate the GI (lightmaps) offline beforehand though around 10min each. So the lighting is still baked.
Still its very impressive, if only people would let go of the vignetting/abberation craze.
Got an Oculus Rift DK2 here and I must say screen resolution is one of the key cons of the device. In terms of picture quality it does a very fair job for games and tech. demos.
