Please post here anything else (not relating to Maxwell technical matters)

I'm using a new printed circuit board layout tool (Diptrace) that allows export of a 3D model to Solidworks (works pretty good). Anyway, they use WRL 3D files in their program. Does anyone know where I can get either a.) a plugin for Windows Explorer that would allow me to preview the files (preferred) or 2.) a *simple* stand-alone viewer for these files? I can open them in Solidworks, but nothing allows me to preview them. I wouldn't have thought this would be so hard to find given how long this format has been around...

TIA

Thank you for the suggestions. Of the three suggested, the Mootools browser does exactly what I am looking for. It is a stand-alone browser, as well as allowing previews of the files in Windows Explorer.

FreeWRL appears to be some kind of "3D" world viewer; not what I was looking for.

MeshLab is great, but doesn't allow previewing of the files in Win Explorer.

Mootools wins! (and the crowd goes "Huzzah")... :D

It's been a very long time, I remember using Mootools Poly Cruncher years ago...
