I really don't think they are being "deceptive, illegal or immoral" as you boldly state. They are just stating that they now support Modo, which they do and the full plugin will be released shortly. Have a think before you throw such harsh flames is all I ask.

tokiop: Yes i understood the opensource hint in your previous comment, however i can't help detecting a certain tone or let me say 'hidden message' in your post. Something along the lines "if you don't like it, don't use it", however i have not said i don't like it, i do have problems with how they treat people over there. Unless you're a asskisser and betatester praising everything they do they don't wanna know of you.
I recently moved pretty much my entire workflow over to Modo since i could not afford to purchase the Maxwell 2.0 upgrade atleast not yet, so Maxwell is shelved for a unknown time. I still have Fryrender and i will wait for the Modo plugin for Fry and see how well the latest 1.5 version performs and then decide if i will continue to use it or ditch it in favor of Modo.

it's dead. This RC5 preview was using prerendered and baked lighting. no realtime reflexions/ refractions supported.
now everything is rendered "realtime" by GPU+CPU.

yeah I think most people are missing the point here, what they have developed / developing is pretty exciting and makes realtime unbiased rendering a reality. Its not just a slight speed bump but a reported 20x to 100x faster than what we have now! I agree that fry promised realtime features a long time ago but it looks like theyve changed tak a few times and have actually come up with some pretty impressive tech that looks like its going to be a game changer.
