Yes, these "barrel-record-type" videos made in cryengine are very popular. I've seen many of those recently :)
But, this is definitely not something I would like a client to see...
Just image: "OK. Here's your house. And now... it goes down. What? You don't like it?! Why, it's physical correct!"

I must say I got a bit disappointed about Cryengine recently, since they've chosen that 'console-path'. And just a couple of years ago they were saying there's no way they're going console since they don't have those powers of a PC... With Cryengine released, I feel as it would be a step backwards. What really scares me is that in the future they can chose a $$$ path instead of pushing the engine forward and produce LOTS of avereage games on the same engine for consoles... :(
I don't know, time will show.

They got to get paid. If people would buy their games instead of pirating them, they would make enough to stick to their artistic values. It is the big dilema for games companies. Make a high quality game that is easily copied and distributed or lower their artistic vision and sell lots of console games which are harder to pirate.

I was at an electronics store the other day looking at computer games, and I overheard these two teens talking. One said, "Why would anyone buy any of these games? You can get them for free if you want them." The other one laughed and agreed.
