Has anybody install a Windows OS on a MAC computer using a boot camp partition?
Is there anyway to assing a desired drive letter like L: or I: to the Windows partition?

as far as I know the main drive for windows must be "C"--this is a quirk(?--there used to be A and B drives way back [3.5 and 5.25 floppies] probably dates way back before the widespread use of hard drives) of the OS, not an issue of bootcamp (i've bootcamped 4 machines so far--2 imacs and 2 mac pros)

I think you'll run into many many problems if you change the drive letter of the main system drive…

Have you ever achieve to have to partition de windows disk in a mac. I thinking that if I can´t have a drive letter different than C: for the OS It woul be useful to have another disk partition inside windows......

are you asking whether or not you can see the windows partition while in OSX??

the answer is yes, and you can even copy files from it without needing any additional software; if you want full access to the partition then you'd need VMware (works well) or Parallels.

I imagine that you could install other drives in a macpro and partition them (or use them completely) for each OS--you will run into problems if you try to install XP/Vista on a physically separate drive from the main system drive though
