Thanks Micha for moving that to the Rhino's forum.

I really hope that v5 will solve the issues with the meshes, but after reading a few topics in the rhino's forum I'm starting to think that the problem will remain in the next Rhino release. I wish I'm wrong.

Really interested in your script, seem like a nice workflow.

Have a nice day,

José

The new MoI helps me to get some projects done - one time a 80MB STEP file was opened/meshed by MoI within a few minutes that crash Rhino after a long time and an other project MoI helps me to get clean meshes for unfolding packages (also it help to avoid a welding problem of Rhino). This projects with simple tasks can't be done with Rhino only - that's hard.

+1 for Moi, I have managed to import Catia files which they were over 200 mb. Trying the same file in Rhino... Well Rhino went to hibernation mode :(
I wish MXST had more sophisticated UV tools.

I came to Rhino with NO 3D experience... I am a jewellery designer/metalsmith. I learned Rhino on my own at my own pace, I just took the manuals and went through them step by step. Rhino has absolutely terrific tutorials that walk you through the program in a logical way (at least to me), and if you get stuck just call McNeel and they will have one of their support guys help you out- either by phone, taking control of your computer or by you emailing your file and them having a look.

I WHOLEHEARTEDLY recommend Rhino- it took a while to get proficient but it was not a process that you have to do by yourself- between the classes offered around the world and the amount of online tutorials and those that McNeel offer you should be fine.

Now I have to check out moi :)
